Huckabee is on the money

Mike Huckabee, former governor of Arkansas and current candidate for the Republican precedential nomination, said the following in an interview with Wolf Blitzer
My sense was, because I visited every single prison in the Arkansas prison system, and I can tell you most of our prisoners would love to be in a facility more like Guantanamo and less like the state prisons that people are in in the United States.
It’s more symbolic than it is a substantive issue, because people perceive of mistreatment when, in fact, there are extraordinary means being taken to make sure these detainees are being given, really, every consideration.
Huckabee understands that Guantanamo is an important institution in the preservation of our freedoms. He has added a few points in his column in my opinion.

I'm surprised Guantanamo hasn't yet been given the five star rating in the Most Comfortable Prison guide book.

To get his point across better Huckabee should spend a few months down there and require that he be treated the same as the other prisoners.

Ever hear of Gary Bauer? One of your right wingers; ran for president, too. Whether you have heard of him or not, you are using his picture, not that of Mike Huckabee. You right wingers are a laugh a minute, except for that part about your destroying our country.

Patricia,
Huckabee has spent some time at Guantanamo, that is why he gave it such a rave review. He's not the only one though and anyone who has ever been there has testified that Guantanamo is one of the best prisons in the world.

Anonymous,
I'm sorry if you have confused Mr. Bauer with the new and improved Mr. Huckabee. Mr. Huckabee has lost a considerable amount of weight in recent years, perhaps that is why you are confused.

No one could look so bad that turning into Gary Bauer would be an improvement.

I'll have to question that everyone who has been there likes the place until we hear from someone who was on the other side of the bars. No, I'm not refering to the several cocktail bars located all around the patio of the prison, I'm talking about the bars on the doors. Like the bars on the door of the spa, for example.

Patricia,
You probably will never hear from any of the people behind the bars because the left-wing media will do everything it can to taint the image of that wonderful freedom preserving institution at Guantanamo and therefore won't let them on tv or let them write editorials in newspapers. I would also like to point out that the cocktail bars at Guantanamo are non-alcoholic in order to be in line with the teachings of the Koran. Not only do we bend over backwards to provide them with excellent food, we also change the nature of cocktail bars so that they are suitable for Mohammedans.
